MINERALS & METALS
A clearer brief for minerals and metals.
Put application, analysis and material form into one useful request.
Explain the application
Describe how you intend to use the material. For bentonite or fluorite, include the required material type, particle-size range and performance requirements. For copper ore or cathodes, specify the material form and the analysis you need to review.
Make the analysis comparable
List the parameters, acceptance limits and testing methods your team requires. Ask how the sample and its analysis relate to the actual material being proposed. A generic product image cannot establish composition or grade.
Describe handling and quantity
State the approximate tonnage, whether the request is a trial or recurring purchase, and the packing and unloading arrangements you need. Mention any size or handling constraints at your facility.
Review the complete proposal
Bring the material specification, sample discussion, packing, quantity and delivery point together before agreeing on a proposal. Record any unresolved questions so both sides know what still needs confirmation.
