HANDLING & DELIVERY
Plan for the destination before the order moves.
Bring receiving access, unloading and storage requirements into the initial brief.
Name the receiving point
Specify the destination and the delivery point you want discussed in the proposal. Mention access restrictions, appointment requirements or receiving hours that your site team has provided. Clarify which part of the delivery arrangement each party is expected to handle.
Describe unloading facilities
Share the relevant handling equipment, space constraints and pack-size limits at the receiving location. If your operation needs a particular pallet, bag or lifting arrangement, put that requirement in the brief and ask the parties responsible to confirm suitability.
Discuss the receiving check
Agree how product identity, quantity, packing condition and the required accompanying information will be reviewed on arrival. Identify who should be contacted if something needs clarification and which records the receiving team should keep.
Include storage requirements early
Tell the relevant parties about any storage or handling requirements specified by your operation or buyer. Ask for product-specific instructions where needed. Review these details alongside the proposed packing and delivery arrangements before finalising the order.
